The primary reason people get a roof restoration is to make their roof look better, although that may seem like a redundant statement, the reason I point it out is because there is a lot more to a Roof Restoration than making your home look better, secondary to the many advantages such as reduction in roof leaks, and protection of the roof structure.

One thing I noticed over the weekend driving through Sydney was a sign on a telegraph pole, that read:

“ROOFS PAINTED”

“$1450″

Now I am not going to go on too much about how crazy you would be to get a guy with obviously no ethical boundaries to be up on your roof painting it. If something goes wrong, I really don’t think this one-man-band who straps signs to the telegraph poles of Sydney is going to be there for you.

One major lesson that really screamed out at me after seeing this sign was that people are mostly after the cosmetic looks of a quick paint job, rather than a full roof restoration. The reality is for an extra $2,000 you can get a good job done by a reputable Roofing company and you will get a full restoration, including repair of broken tiles and much more.
